  5. Welcome  to one of the traditional columns in Top Secret.  In 'Total Research'
  6. we  give you the polls on the hottest questions concerning the scene.  So read
  7. on to see what the majority thinks.

  9. ²1. Do you think that modemtrading destroys mail-trading ?¹ ³Yes:¹ 18.75%
  10. ³No:¹ 75% ³Don't Know:¹ 6.25%
  11. It  seems  that most people think that mail and modemtrading can be combinated
  12. easily.  Atleast they are not competitiors.  But, still a large minority fears
  13. for the future of mail-trading.

  15. ²2. Will you jump to the Pc-scene in the near future and thereby quit the
  16. amiga-scene  ?¹  ³Yes:¹ 0% ³No:¹ 93.75% ³Don't Know:¹ 6.25% (One would jump to
  17. the Pc, but keep his amiga).
  18. It seems like no one intends to quit the amiga for the benefit of the Pc.  And
  19. why on earth should they ?

  21. ²3. Do you think that too many lame copy-parties are held ?¹  ³Yes:¹ 31.25%
  22. ³No:¹ 50%  ³Don't Know:¹ 18.75%
  23. Most  people  still  enjoys most parties.  But with the increasing standard of
  24. facilities  that  the  big  parties  gives us, the expectations to all parties
  25. increases.  At that have already given some failures.

  27. ²4. Do you think a diskmagazine should only consist of computer/scene stuff ?¹
  28. ³Yes:¹ 6.25%  ³No:¹ 93.75%
  29. Well,  according  to these polls, Raw has obvious chosen the wrong path.  But,
  30. as  a defend for Raw, we have to admit that most people answered the questions
  31. before Raw #5 was released. So some minds may have changed !

  33. ²5. Do you think that the friendship in the scene is on it's way down ?¹
  34. ³Yes:¹ Yes: 25%   ³No:¹ 75%
  35. Luckily most people thinks the scene are moving in the right direction.  Still
  36. every fourth scene-member thinks that the friendship is lacking.

  38. ²6. Do you think that it's allright that the cracker-groups crack
  39. scene-games ?¹ ³Yes:¹ 31.25%  ³No:¹ 56.25%  ³Don't Know:¹ 12.5% (One thinks
  40. that it's allright, but not wise).
  41. A  small  majority  in  the  scene think that the cracker should stop cracking
  42. scene-games.   And  if the cracker groups do not crack for gaining popularity,
  43. why do they crack ?

  45. ²7. Do you think that we have discovered all of the possibilities a normal
  46. amiga has and that we won't see more shocking code ?¹ ³Yes:¹ 6.25%  ³No:¹ 87.5%

  48. Nice  to  see  that  almost everybody have faith in the coders abilities.  And
  49. with  the  invation  of  the  'new'  amigas,  they  should have good terms for
  50. fullfilling people's trust.

  52. ²8. Are you ready to leave your group for a more famous one ?¹ Yes: 18.75%
  53. No: 75%  Don't Know:6.25%
  54. Most people seems to be quite happy with their group. Atleast they are not
  55. only looking on the name, if they want to change.

  57. During  the  next months, we will produce some sheets containing questions for
  58. next  issues  Top  Secret.  Make sure to get hold on the sheets, and send them
  59. back to us. To make the polls more trust-worthy we need more support. Anyway,
